Day 1: Arrive – Nairobi

Once you arrive at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), you’ll be warmly received by Fivesenses Travel Representative, who will give you a short briefing of your holiday. You will then be transferred by private vehicle to Best Western Hotel Plus located in the heart of Nairobi.
Check in time is 14:00PM.

Day 2: Full Day in Nairobi

07:00AM: Enjoy buffet breakfast at the hotel
08:00AM: Depart after breakfast and be driven by your private driver guide to David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage which is located near Nairobi National Park. This orphanage for Elephants Calves and Rhinos from all over Kenya was founded and still managed by Daphne Sheldrick, the widow of one of Kenya’s best known Game Wardens David Sheldrick.

The centre is open to the public from 11AM to 12 Noon, only for one hour. At this time the calves are being exercised and bathed and visitors are free to watch. This is a good canter for general information on elephants and their conservation.

As one of Africa’s oldest wildlife charities and a leading conservation organization, the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (SWT) embraces all measures that complement the conservation, preservation and protection of wildlife.

Lunch On Own Basis:

14:00AM: Visit the Nairobi Giraffe Center, where you will have a chance to learn about the endangered Rothschild giraffe and see how major conservation efforts are being made to protect this majestic animal. This tour will give a completely up close and personal interaction where you have the opportunity to view giraffes as well as feed them. The center has rescued, hand reared and released around 500 orphaned giraffes back into the wild since opening in 1979

Later you will be transferred back to your booked hotel.

Day 3: Nairobi – Namunyak Conservancy Located in Samburu

06:30AM: Enjoy buffet breakfast at Best Western Plus Hotel, Nairobi.

07:30AM: Depart for Namuyak Wildlife Conservancy.

12:40PM: Approximately, Arrive at the conservancy, enroute to Sarara camp you will enjoy game drive Sarara is a flagship, community-owned and community-driven conservation initiative in Northern Kenya.

13:00AM: Check in and enjoy your buffet mouth-watering lunch Climatic condition: – The days are extremely hot while the nights are cool. The annual mean temperatures range between 18ºC and 30ºC, while the mean annual rainfall is 354 mm with peaks in November and April. The dry season starts in late May, and goes up to early October during when large concentration of wildlife is found in the reserve due to availability of lush vegetation along the Ewaso Nyiro River, the main source of water to the Reserve and the nearby communities.

16:00PM: Enjoy your first game drive, expect to see the big five and free ranging elephants.

18:30PM: Return to the tented camp.

19:30PM: Dinner and overnight stay at Sarara tented camp.

Day 4: Full Day in Namunyak Wildlife Conservancy

Reteti is the first community-run elephant sanctuary in East Africa, if not the entire continent. It was established in August 2016 in Namunyak Community Conservancy, it is home to some of the largest elephant populations in the region.

The sanctuary currently provides employment for 61 people, most of whom are drawn from the Ngilai community of Namunyak. Reteti first and foremost aims to reunite lost or abandoned elephant calves with their herds, responding to calls from rangers and community members across the landscape.

It is the first community elephant sanctuary in Africa and also the first to give women a chance to take care of the elephants.

Visiting The Reteti Elephant Sanctuary is not only a unique addition to your holiday but one of the best things you can do to support the local community and help protect all the animals who are cared for there.

18:30PM: Return to the tented camp.

19:30PM: Dinner and overnight stay at Sarara camp.

Day 5: Namunyak Wildlife Conservancy – Lake Elementaita

06:30AM: Wake up to an early buffet breakfast at camp and then check out.

07:30AM: Depart for Lake Elementaita

12:30PM: You’ll arrive at Lake Elementaita Sentrim Lodge by lunchtime.

Check in and enjoy lunch. Afternoon you can spend at Leisure; you can relax in your room or take a swim in the lodges swimming pool.

The Lake is a protected area due to its birdlife fame, and also it has been named as one of the heritage sites by UNESCO. The lake’s shores are grazed by zebra, gazelle, eland and families of warthog. Lake Elementaita has recorded over 400 species of birds and has attracted visiting greater and lesser flamingoes which come to feed on the lake’s crustacean and insect larvae on its suspended blue-green algae.

A highlight of a visit here is a boating excursion around the lake Naivasha or visit to the nearby Crescent Island. Some other exciting activates around Lake Naivasha include nature walks, horseback riding, flower farm trips, community visits. You can also opt for day excursions to Hell’s Gate.

18:30PM: Dinner and Overnight at Lake Elementaita Sentrim Lodge.

Day 6: Lake Elementaita – Masai Mara National Reserve

073:0AM: Wake up to buffet breakfast at Lake Elementaita Sentrim Lodge and then check out.

08:30AM: Depart for Masai Mara National Reserve, which is also known as the “World Cup of Safaris in Africa”. On your way to Maasai Mara National Reserve, you will enjoy different array of views which are just priceless.

13:00PM: approximately, arrive at Masai Mara National reserve; you will enjoy game drive enroute to Mara Sentrim Camp
Check in and enjoy mouth-watering lunch.

16:00PM: Embark on your first game drive in the reserve.

The Masai Mara is known as one of the finest wildlife destinations in the World. There is an excellent chance of seeing the Big 5, Cheetah, Serval cat, Hyena, Bat-eared foxes, Black-backed and Side-striped jackals, Hippo, Crocodile, Baboons, Warthog, Topi, Eland, Thompson’s gazelle, Grant’s gazelle, Impala, Waterbuck, Oribi antelope, Reedbuck antelope, and Common zebra.

18:30PM: Return to the camp.

19:30PM: Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Sentrim Camp.

Meal Plan: Full Board (breakfast, Lunch and dinner).

Day 7: Full Day at Masai Mara National Reserve

06:30AM: Wake up for a refreshing hot cup of coffee or tea. Then depart for a morning game drive to explore the Mara plains and its intriguing wildlife.

Alternatively:- You can opt for a Hot Air Balloon Safari instead of a morning game drive. This is truly a fun and exciting way to see Africa’s landscapes and wildlife. The trip is magical: spend about one hour floating over the Mara plains. You float in the sky, drift with the whim of the wind, overlooking the plains, just in time to experience a breathtaking sunrise and catch a bird’s eye view of the reserve.

08:30AM: Return to the Lodge for a full buffet breakfast and spend the morning at your own leisure.

12:30PM: Enjoy a scintillating buffet lunch at the camp. Afternoon spent at leisure. You can relax by the swimming pool or you can also visit an authentic Maasai village during your game drive as per extra costs shown below;

16:00PM: Depart for an evening game drive.

18:30PM: Return to the camp.

19:30PM: Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Sentrim Camp.

Meal Plan: Full Board (breakfast, Lunch and dinner).

Day 8: Departure

06:30AM: Buffet breakfast at Mara Sentrim Camp.

07:30AM: Depart to Nairobi City, also known as the green city under the sun Lunch on own arrangement before drop off at JKIA Airport for your home bound flight. (3 hrs prior check-in required).
